This collection was painted along my transitions from Mexico to Lisboa, as I was experiencing the chaos of adapting to new landscapes. I set up my new studio in the most dreamy little garden, full of trees and flowers, witnessing the seasons passing through my window. From the rainy days of dormant branches, to the sprouting and surrendering of leaves, to the blooming of the flowers. I recognized my emotional nature in those transitions and learned that beauty lies in impermanence.

Each artwork weaves layers of color and intricate patterns, reflecting the intensity and vulnerability of different realms of emotions and feelings felt through our human cycles.

À Flor da Pele expresses my deepest vulnerability yet, and it invites the same in the viewer. To see ourselves as delicate blooms of nature that feel life all the way from the strength of the core to the tenderness of the surface.
